Our history

Vipe 21 was founded in 2021 by experienced helicopter experts and began operations in February 2022. The company provides modern solutions for operators of specialized helicopters within EMS, SAR, police, and military. The name Vipe comes from the bird “vipe,” and the number 21 refers to EASA Part 21 and the year the company was established.

The company is owned by four founders and Cognia Capital, which became a partner in 2023. Vipe 21 is now part of Cognia’s focus on emergency services and specialized missions.

Vipe 21 is a specialized aviation company focused on supporting special mission operations such as HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services), SAR (Search and Rescue), police, and military aviation. We support operators in the development and implementation of modifications to their aircraft.

Our core business is to design and adapt aviation solutions that meet strict operational and regulatory requirements. Through technical expertise and close collaboration with our customers, we ensure safe and efficient modifications tailored to specific needs.

Vipe 21 aims to be the leading partner for aviation industry players needing specialized modifications and technical upgrades to their aircraft. Our services target both civil and public sector operators, with a strong focus on critical preparedness and defence missions.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality solutions that enable safer, more efficient, and more functional aviation operations.

Today, Vipe 21 has 17 employees, and we plan to hire more the following year.

Vipe 21 is part of the Cognia Group, which operates across six business areas: passenger cars, trucks, healthcare and emergency services, real estate, technology, and asset management.
