Vipe 21 is looking for an Avionics Design Engineer
We value teamwork and making each other better. Are you the one we’re looking for?
Are you a mid-level to experienced Avionics Design Engineer? Do you want to be part of building a new and innovative player in the aviation industry? Vipe 21 is currently looking for an Avionics Design Engineer to contribute to our continued growth and development.
Vipe 21 is a fast-growing EASA Part 21J Design Organization, working on a wide range of aircraft modifications. These include avionics integrations, internal and external modifications of various sizes, and cabin upgrades for special missions such as Search & Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, and Coast and Border Guard operations.
What will you be working on?
As an Avionics Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and certifying aircraft modifications. You’ll work both independently and in teams - small or large depending on the scope of the project. The work is varied and offers great opportunities to challenge yourself and develop innovative solutions.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design Work: Develop concepts for new modifications. Carry out detailed design work and document using CAD tools (currently EPLAN is used).
Certification: Perform calculations and safety assessments, develop test procedures, evaluate test reports, write compliance documents, and prepare Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and Flight Manual Supplements. Depending on your experience, you may also act as a Compliance Verification Engineer, reviewing and approving documentation from your colleagues.
Customer Relations: Represent the design organization in customer interactions during project execution. Occasionally participate in trade shows.
Commercial Support: Assist the sales team during the proposal phase. Attend meetings and conduct site surveys with potential customers.
In addition to the general responsibilities, the Avionics Design Engineer role includes:
Serve as Project Engineer on small and large modification projects.
Participate in system and flight testing (for the right candidate).
Engage with EASA regarding certification.
We are a small, effective team where everyone contributes – so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed. At Vipe 21, we value teamwork and making each other better.
Who are you?
We are looking for an engineer with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. An aviation background is not required, but an interest in aviation and a willingness to learn is essential. Experience in EASA Part 21J/G, Part-145 or Part CAMO is an advantage. If you have experience in the helicopter industry as well - you tick all the boxes.
We believe you:
Are structured, analytical, and solution oriented.
Communicate clearly and effectively.
Work well independently but thrive in a collaborative environment.
Perform well in a fast-paced setting and can manage multiple priorities.
Have the ability to push tasks to completion.
Desired Background & Skills
Degree in avionics, electronics, cybertechnology, or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience with relevant CAD tools.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Experience in regulatory compliance.
Willingness to travel.
What can you expect from us?
To be a valued team member in a growing company with ambitious goals and exciting projects.
An inclusive, informal work environment with passionate colleagues.
Opportunities to work on international projects through our expanding global footprint.
Room to grow — as we continue to scale, you'll have the chance to explore new roles and responsibilities.
