Vipe 21 is a fast-growing EASA Part 21J Design Organization. The company was founded by a group of entrepreneurs with extensive experience in aviation, who today make up the management team. As part of our growth strategy, we are now looking for a new member of the management team to take on the role of Head of Design Organization.

What will you be working on?

The Head of Design Organization is the company’s ultimate responsible for all work carried out under the EASA Part 21J approval. This role requires direct approval from EASA and reports to the CEO/Managing Director. 

In this role, you will have significant freedom and responsibility to develop the design organization in line with the company’s strategy. Responsibilities include:

• Technical and organizational development: Ensure the necessary technical expertise and resources, develop the organization, and contribute to the company’s strategy in collaboration with discipline leads.
• Certification: Responsible for final approval of modifications and repairs in accordance with the approved procedures.
• Customer relations: Represent the design organization externally and build strong customer relationships.
• Engineering work: Provide engineering expertise in projects when needed.
• Commercial work: Actively contribute to securing new projects.

We are a small, effective team where everyone contributes – so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed. At Vipe 21, we value teamwork and making each other better.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced leader with a broad background in aviation. You should have experience in several areas of the industry, such as EASA Part 21J/G, Part-145, Part CAMO, and commercial air operations. Experience in the helicopter industry is an advantage.

We’re looking for someone with the following background and skills:

• Engineering degree and solid experience as an engineer.
• Passion for people, team building, and leadership.
• Strong technical understanding, solid understanding of business, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in collaboration with colleagues and clients.
• Willingness to travel as required.
